Dr Maji is a consulting pediatrician with the newly inaugurated hospital and will be focussing on general pediatrics and vaccines at the facility.

Dr Maji informed that HP Ghosh Hospital, the healthcare Unit of the Eastern Heart Care and Research Centre will be dedicatedly working towards providing patients with innovative treatment methods and expensive medication at highly affordable rates. Hence inclusivity is of utmost importance for the institution, so that people who otherwise can’t afford high-end treatments can have access to a better life.

Dr Maji further informed that his peers have also joined him at the hospital in various capacities as the facility has specialized units for pediatric pulmonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology and neurology. The other important area of focus is pediatric critical care, and the hospital has eight Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) beds, along with other pediatric beds, both paid and general in nature for wider accessibility.

Dr Maji further stated that HP Ghosh Hospital will provide “holistic and comprehensive” care, aimed at patient “well being”. There will be pedantic care, along with treatment and expensive medication which will be available at accessible rates. He added that the pediatric specialists at the hospital will work in tandem as a team, facilitating cross-consults and treatments wherever needed, so that a patient does not need to be moved anywhere else. Dr Majhi will be focussing on emergency and day-day diseases, along with vaccination programmes which form an integral part of pediatric care.
