In an interview with Anandabazar Online, Dr. Ansuman Mukhopadhyay, senior consultant pulmonologist of HP Ghosh Hospital explains, “Every year, lung related diseases are continuously increasing during winter. To prevent this, people who are suffering from lung diseases, should consult a doctor as soon as winter arrives and get vaccinated on time. It is advisable to avoid going outside during the evening or early morning when the fog is dense. Additionally, drink plenty of water and eat lots of vegetables. This will help you develop the necessary resistance to fight off illnesses.”
