Union tribal affairs minister and Khunti MP Arjun Munda on Wednesday tweeted about not attending any Holi Milan (get-together) event in view of the novel coronavirus threat. “In view of expert opinions of the world that one should avoid crowded places and community function, I have decided this year not to attend any Holi Milan functions,” Munda tweeted in Hindi. Munda used to host a grand Holi Milan function at his house in Old Circular Road in Ranchi every year. Sources close to Munda said this year there would be no such function.
XLRI annual event
XLRI will hold its 64th annual convocation on March 21. Sanjiv Mehta, chairman and managing director of Hindustan Unilever Limited, will be conferred with the prestigious Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal for Industrial and Social Peace at the function.
TSPC denial
Outlawed outfit TSPC on Wednesday said it was not involved in the murder of Prem Sagar Munda in Ranchi on Monday. Zonal commander of the outfit Vikrant issued a press release and claimed that Munda was neither associated with the outfit nor was there any dispute with him over levy amount.
