Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren on Thursday took to social media to announce that an enhanced amount of the state government’s monthly women financial assistance scheme will be credited to beneficiaries next week.
In the same post on X, Hemant Soren also took a jibe at BJP-ruled Haryana over the delay in crediting the monthly amount of the women assistance scheme.
In a post on X, Hemant: “After a week all women beneficiaries accounts will get the scheme enhanced amount without any obstruction and hassle. However, there is no news on the ₹2100 scheme in Haryana. Why?”
Jharkhand government, under Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, had been transferring ₹1000 monthly to the bank account of women beneficiaries.
The JMM-Congress-RJD-CPI-ML government in its manifesto during Assembly polls had announced enhancing the monthly amount to ₹2500, if voted to power. In the first cabinet meeting after the swearing-in ceremony in November, chief minister Soren had given the nod for the enhanced amount.
The beneficiaries will get ₹2500 in their accounts December onwards.
