Vikrant Massey’s eccentric suspect and Deepak Dobriyal’s determined cop engage in an intense cat-and-mouse chase after several children go missing from a slum in Sector 36 trailer, dropped by Netflix on Thursday.
The trailer opens with a shot of Vikrant waiting in the investigation room for Deepak with a sly grin on his face. The narrative quickly shifts to a haunting night sequence where Vikrant, now revealed as a serial killer, kidnaps a child from the slums and brutally kills him. The video also offers a glimpse into the corrupt life of Deepak’s character, with scenes of him taking bribes and visiting brothels.
As the string of kidnappings continues, the stakes soar when Vikrant abducts Deepak’s daughter from a bustling fairground, pushing him to abandon his vices and fully commit to the hunt for the elusive killer. Desperation and guilt drive Deepak to track down Vikrant at any cost.

“A fictional story Inspired by true events, several children go missing from a basti (slum) in Sector 36. A determined police officer must now face off with a cunning serial killer as a chilling investigation and dark secrets unfold,” reads the official synopsis of the film on IMDb.
Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, Sector 36 is inspired by real-life incidents. It is written by Bodhayan Roychaudhury.
Also starring Darshan Jariwala and Dinesh Vijan, Sector 36 is slated to hit Netflix on September 13.
