He always wanted to express his thoughts through acting or writing and for that he followed his path to the City of Dreams ‘Mumbai’ even though he knew the struggles that would come along. He lied to his parents about getting a well-paying job and came to Mumbai from his hometown with a dream to make it big in the Indian Film Industry. His initial days were full of hardships as he had no job and the city being the financial capital was expensive for him to survive. He was searching for opportunities while living in slums with two people. Eventually, all his money got drained and he had to take a job as a watchman to meet his ends. He switched a lot of jobs to move forward toward a better life. His jobs included working as a graphic designer, call centre and sales executive, fashion intern, etc.
However, hard work never goes in vain and Abhiishek was also awarded by the almighty. His music debut ‘Tu hai wahi’ which was released in 2021 made hype all over the industry and among the fans as well. Along with being an actor, he is also a well-known casting director in the television industry and was the Associate Creative Head for the Color’s Tv mythology show named ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran’ where he was also managing the Casting Department. The creative mind's creativity does not stop here, he is an author as well and his first book ‘Once Upon Us’ was published in the year 2019. For that, he was also ranked in India’s Top 10 Contemporary Romance Authors list.
Talking about his journey Abhiishek Mohta says, “I won’t deny that the path to reach till here was a difficult one but I will always be thankful that I chose it because it was only for my highest good. I’m grateful to be doing something that I always wanted to do.” When asked about his mentor he said, “My mentor is Mr Nikhil Dwivedi who is an actor, a producer and most importantly someone I look up to. The way he thrives and works always motivates me to learn from him. He has always guided me and is one of the biggest reasons for my confidence boost.”
Abhiishek Mohta being an acting prodigy has created a landmark for himself in the industry through his hard work and diligence. The versatile artist has been constantly bringing in innovations with his work and aims to create an even bigger name for himself. With his dedication and sincerity towards his goals, Abhiishek Mohta has truly proved that “If you can dream it, you can definitely achieve it.”
