The need for professional education was the focus of Education Conclave 2021 hosted by Subhas Bose Institute of Hotel Management (SBIHM) at ITC Royal Bengal, Kolkata, recently.
This conclave was aimed at guiding students towards building a good career. The speakers advised the students on how they can become successful professionally.

The conclave was inaugurated by West Bengal panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee. The speakers included Kunal Sarkar, cardiac surgeon and senior vice-president, Medica Superspecialty Hospital; Suman Mukherjee, management consultant and corporate trainer; Joy Basu, vice-president, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals; Tejinder Singh, general manager, ITC Sonar and ITC Royal Bengal; Jimmy Tangree, head, 91,9 Friends FM; Reshmi Bagchi, fashion designer and journalist; Rita Bimani, founder CEO, Ritam Communications; and Anirudh Khanna, multi-property executive chef at Marriott Hotels.

The speakers were unanimous that success comes only with hard work.

The audience included first, second, third-year students of hotel and hospitality management, hospital management, tourism management, fashion technology, media science, BBA and BCA courses.

Bidisha Sarkar, group director, Subhas Bose Institute of Hotel Management, encouraged the students so that they can strengthen their future at the end of their professional education.
