A student is mature enough to decide his or her occupation as he or she is aware of the unique traits, skills and passion that he or she possesses. The interference of parents may hamper true potential and conceal talent.

Strained relationship

If parents force their choices on a student, it will lead to neglect of his or her interests which could lead to frustration in the student and a strained relationship with parents. Further, there are examples of such students having committed suicide as they were severely stressed, afraid of performing badly and felt insecure. Isn’t life more precious than a forced dream?

No pressure

A child should have the freedom to pursue his or her passion. If a career is thrust upon them, they may not perform as exceptionally. They will feel constant pressure and be unable to focus on their end goal.

Experience counts

The life experiences of parents cannot be overlooked. They have a better understanding about right and wrong career choices. Parent always want you to makegood life decisions while students sometimes end up making wrong decisions. It is the wish of every parent to see their children well settled, thus they have the right to choose the career for the children.

Have faith

Parents know what is best for their child, his or her likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses. They pay their child’s fees. Students should have faith in their parents as they always want what is best for them.
