When it comes to a career in the creative arts, there is no dearth of opportunities across the world. However, the competition is equally fierce, which is why a well-tailored programme that gives you exactly what you need is most important.
The NSHM School of Design offers a wide range of opportunities in multimedia, animation and designing and that too in an independent learning environment.
The School of Design at NSHM offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Fashion Design and Management, Multimedia, Animation and Graphics Design and an undergraduate course in Interior
Designing. The training process is well-drafted by industry experts and professionals and the techniques used in the classrooms are designed to make you job-ready. In fact, the placement cell at NSHM also actively helps students find placement in their respective industries.
“NSHM school of Design follows a pedagogy of Learn, Unlearn and Re-learn surrounding the basic design thinking process. The courses are a perfect blend of classroom studios and industry-led workshops. Placement and internships are a part of the entire process of the NSHM experience,” said Amartya Banerjee, director, NSHM School of Design.
Apart from the classroom sessions, NSHM also facilitates internship opportunities with PwC, Hoichoi, Aakash, BYJU’s, Pantaloons, Anamika Khanna and Westside.
The infrastructure at NSHM is equipped to give the students everything they might need to further their dreams — from recent technologies and gadgets in the labs to the various practical experiences and special activities that help shape the mindset of students. In fact, at NSHM, workshops and seminars are a regular feature on campus.
Recently, NSHM Durgapur also organised The Artist Residency Programme, 2020, which was a huge success and a great learning experience for the students of design. The programme aimed at bringing 12 talented contemporary artists in the fields of professional sculpting, painting, designing, traditional terracotta art, installation art, traditional dokra art, wood carving, among others, from different Indian states.
This exclusive workshop helped the students take important career decisions. At NSHM, the training process is conducted with the utmost care and learning new techniques in design seems seamless. This keeps NSHM and NSD truly at par with other Design schools in India.
