What happens when three National Award-winning directors collaborate on an anthology film with rural India as the central theme? Catch a glimpse of the Lantrani trailer on YouTube, and mark your calendars for the film’s premiere on ZEE5 on February 9. Witness Gurvinder Singh, Kaushik Ganguly and Bhaskar Hazarika bring their distinct storytelling skills to three independent tales — Dharna Mana Hai, Hud Hud Dabang and Sanitized Samachar — that delve deep into the heart of rural India, unravelling the absurd realities of life.
The cast of the film features some stellar names with Nimisha Sajayan and Jitendra Kumar taking up roles in two different parts of the anthology while Johny Lever and Jisshu Sengupta take the leads in Hud Hud Dabang. Excitement surrounds Johny Lever’s non-comic role, as he anticipates the audience’s reaction, while Jisshu expresses confidence in the film resonating with audiences nationwide.
