Tihar Jail has always carried an aura of mystery around it, touted as one of the harshest jails not just in India, but the world. A new Netflix show is now ready to unveil the true face of this place.
The streaming giant recently unveiled the teaser of its upcoming show, Black Warrant, which is a dramatised adaptation of the book, Black Warrant: Confessions Of A Tihar Jailer, written by Sunil Gupta, the former superintendent of the jail, and journalist-author, Sunetra Choudhury. The teaser introduces us to Gupta, essayed by Zahan Kapoor, as he interviews for a job in the jail with dreams of serving the nation, not knowing the secrets that lie within its walls. Packed with moral dilemmas, the clip provides us an intimate glimpse of life inside Asia's largest jail, and some of the biggest offenders locked inside. With Vikramaditya Motwane and Satyanshu Singh at the helm, this series is expected to be full of searing revelations and drama. Don’t forget to tune into it when it premieres on January 10!
