After playing 298
matches for England since 2014, Moeen Ali has announced his retirement from
international cricket. With 366 wickets to his name across formats Moeen Ali
was the all rounder England turned to for wickets and also quick fire runs
amassing 6678 runs for the Three Lions. Having won the Ashes 2015 the ODI World
Cup in 2019 and the T20 World Cup in 2022, Moeen Ali has been part of some of
England’s best performances over the last decade.
England Cricket even
shared this video of Moeen
dismissing Virat Kohli with a peach of a delivery, showcasing his brilliance. My
Kolkata extends the heartiest congratulations to Moeen on a successful
career and the journey ahead. We look forward to seeing him in the IPL next
year, smashing big sixes and taking crucial wickets.
