Maple Walnut Fudge
Who: Nondinee Chattopadhyay and Arkadev Chattopadhyay
Fudge of choice: Maple Walnut Fudge
“When I was younger, I never liked walnut fudges. I thought that walnuts and chocolate didn’t go together; one had a bitter aftertaste and the other was simply decadent and sweet,” Nondinee Chattopadhyay reflected. She continued, explaining how as she grew up, she learned to love the sweetness and bitterness swirled together in each bite of the fudge. “With that in mind, I compare my father to a walnut fudge. To me, he can at times seem grumpy and maybe even bitter, but the sweetness under all that shines through, especially when it needs to.” The 16-year-old added that she has learned that without his grumpiness and sweetness rolled into one, he wouldn’t be the person she loves.
