Spotted shooting at Lake Market in south Kolkata on Saturday was actor Paresh Rawal. A crowd swelled to watch the veteran actor — sporting a grey stubble, black-rimmed spectacles and a maroon kurta. While it wasn’t totally clear what Rawal was shooting for, the presence of actor-director Ananth Mahadevan on set pointed to the fact that this was probably the much-delayed project called The Storyteller. The Storyteller — originally titled in Bengali as Golpo Boliye Tarini Khuro — is one of the 15 adventures of Satyajit Ray’s famous Tarini Khuro. Rawal was signed on for the project in 2018, along with Naseeruddin Shah, but shoot was delayed because of the pandemic. Watch this space for more.
