Along with his petition, the candidate submitted a list of some other candidates, who were allegedly given appointments based on recommendations. Asked by Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay, the School Service Commission counsel informed the court that his client had not issued the recommendation letter to the petitioners.

The division bench will hear the matter on December 6.

Recently, while handling another case, the court heard allegations that nearly 400 candidates were given appointment in schools in Group D posts based on fake recommendations.

Both the School Service Commission and the Board of Secondary Education claimed that they had not issued any recommendation to those persons.
