The minimum required gap of 84 days between the two doses of the vaccine ended on September 15.

“Last time, the camp was held in cooperation with the district administration. Since the vaccine-on-wheel initiative is not being undertaken now, we took students to the borough office for the second dose,” said JU registrar Snehamanju Basu.

Somen Datta, who suffers from visual impairment, said: “We were wary of standing in a long queue for jabs. Besides, we should be fully vaccinated and ready for possible reopening of the campus for in-person classes.”
