ICSE inks MoU with IIT Delhi

The initiative would help the council design curriculum in ‘upcoming technologies, including robotics, artificial intelligence(AI), machine learning (ML) and data science’

The ICSE council has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IIT Delhi that would help the council design curriculum in “upcoming technologies, including robotics, artificial intelligence(AI), machine learning (ML) and data science”.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will introduce two new subjects — Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) — in its affiliated schools at both ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) levels, said Gerry Arathoon, the council’s chief executive and secretary. “The first batch of ICSE who will write the board exams in these subjects in 2025....”

The MoU has been signed with I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the Technology Innovation Hub( TIH) of IIT Delhi.

Project director, IHFC and professor at IIT Delhi, S.K. Saha said: “We are delighted to join hands with the CISCE for developing syllabus for robotics and AI for school children in India.”
