Style Sirens took home the Best Team Award. “We had decided to go for a sundowner look which one could use while on holiday! We played with a layered silhouette and gave it a nice twist by adding organza ruffles. We topped this off by creating our own beaded necklace and floral belt," said designer Nikita Bajoria, a team member.

YFLO women are always high on style and fashion is a common love that the members of the organisation share. Keeping this in mind, chairperson Priyanka Agarwal hosted the event ‘Elevate Your Creativity’ at the Oberoi Grand, last month. It was a gala affair at the Oberoi ballroom and a unique opportunity for the members to explore their creativity pertaining to fashion and style. In this competitive event, the members were divided into 12 groups and each group was collaboratively led by a city designer or owner of fashion stores from Calcutta. The teams were given a common theme — “A drape outfit to navigate the holiday season in style” and within a time limit of 90 minutes had to present their designed creation. Ready with dummies to dress, the teams rushed to collect their resources at the venue including fabrics, accessories and fresh floral decor as the stopwatch started displaying the minutes. Live tailoring units helped the teams to get the stitches done. Fashion designer Kiran Uttam Ghosh, Madhu Neotia, stylist Chikky Goenka and Prabha Bajoria from Virrayaa Jewellery judged the event, along with event sponsor Ashwin Agarwal from Eeksha.

“Elevate Your Creativity witnessed the immense talent of our member base. With a multitude of amazing designers, we were left in awe of the remarkable creations they crafted within just 90 minutes. This event showcased the power of collaboration and innovation, as teams pushed the boundaries of their creativity. We are truly blessed to have such exceptional designers as part of our community who came forward to make this event a grand success,” said Priyanka Agarwal, YFLO chairperson.

TGIF or The Girls in FridaFashion not only glammed up in looks inspired by Frida Kahlo but were also the first runner-up and won a prize for the category Best Accessory Design. “The Girls in FridaFashion took inspiration from the iconic Frida Kahlo. We used bold bright prints, created daring Jewelry pieces, and paired them with a super fun Frida-painted belt-style bag,” said Shilpa Sethi, ex-chairperson of YFLO and a team member
