Sanjiv Goenka was conferred the ALSOC Complete Xavierian 2024 Award at the 45th annual reunion of the Alumnorum Societas St. Xavier's School Old Boys Association on December 21.
The RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group chairperson was nominated for the award by the governing body of the alumni association. “It's always a great honour to receive the award from your own school which I deeply respect,” said Goenka, who passed out of St. Xavier’s Collegiate School in 1977.
The Alumnorum Societas conducts an annual reunion where former students are felicitated. Xaverians from all over the world come together for the reunion. This year, Sanjiv Goenka was also the chief guest at the event.
On December 21, St. Xavier’s University vice-chancellor Felix Raj was also felicitated for completing 50 years of service, along with Aloysius Carvalho, who completed 75 years. The association also honoured the teachers, who completed 25 years in school. The batch of 1974, which completed 50 years of passing out from the school, were felicitated.
