The Country House, a quaint, European-style cafe on Elgin Road, turns seven today. Renowned for its extensive breakfast selection, it also serves a wide spread of Continental delicacies and a range of hot and cold beverages. To celebrate the joyous occasion of being a part of the City of Joy for seven years, this all-day cafe is adding seven new delectable dishes to its menu.
Along with introducing a special menu, The Country House will be having exciting offers and activities over a week. Some of these are a select menu at Rs 77, complimentary desserts, pancake-eating challenge, lucky draws, Polaroid captures and the like.
“We are ecstatic about turning seven. We thought of focusing on bringing in variations in the menu and giving customers what they love. We look forward to the city’s continued support in making our cafe a preferred hangout spot for coffee and conversations with their loved ones,” said Vikas Choudhury, founder, The Country House. Here’s getting you a glimpse of their anniversary menu.
Caprese Croissant Sandwich: Butter croissant served with lettuce, sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and pesto. A simple yet flavour bomb of a sandwich.
Biscoff Pancake: Three layers of fluffy pancakes served with biscoff spread and maple syrup. This is a fresh new take on the regular Nutella pancake.
Cold Brew Coffee (left) and Basque Cheesecake: A crust-free cheesecake with a burnt top and creamy centre. This one’s a major Instagram sensation (right)
Pancake stack challenge (left) and smashed Avocado on toast: Avocado mix layered on homemade baguette, served with a choice of poached egg, cherry tomatoes or sautéd mushrooms (right)
