The students of journalism and mass communication department at Maharaja Manindra Chandra College visited Jaldapara's Salkumar village to distribute new clothes and food packets among 450 underprivileged children on September 28. Simultaneously, the students conducted a field study and collected data to help build Salkumarhat as the next model tourism village besides Madarihat. A seminar was also conducted during the two-day visit
