Singer Paloma Majumder was present for 31st with her purple and pink streaks. “This 31st is quite different and special for me. I am usually on stage but I get to spend tonight with friends and family on New Years Eve for the first time without the pressure of running back and forth from a gig. If the pandemic has taught us anything then it is probably how important spending time with your loved ones is. So it feels great to share this moment with them especially at CC&FC, a place I grew up in,” she said.

Revellers like Natasha Choudhury sure had a lot of fun in the The Telegraph ONLINE video booth as many of them got their own videos made for Instagram where only they were the centre of attention. “The video was taken on my husband’s phone. I still have so much to upload from that night but am still reeling from it. This was the first time I was doing something like this and it was hilarious. My husband kept imitating me,” laughed the home-maker.

Club speak

“We did what we do best on big nights — we made sure that it was a fabulous party. The club looked magical with the special lighting, arrangements, bonfires and the works. Mamta Sharma rocked the show with continuous hit numbers and the dance floor was packed. DJ Rhea ensured that the party continued till the early hours of the new year. The array of food stalls serving different cuisines were extremely popular. The entire ambience was fabulous and everyone seemed to be happy as we stepped into the new year. It has been a huge effort by the entertainment, bar and catering sections,” said Deepankar Nandi, president, CC&FC, who was present with wife Swati Nandi.

Sip 'n' Bite

All that dancing can sure get you tired. The club had a set of stalls as well as yummy bites from their kitchen. House of Dimsums plated piping hot dimsums and Crunchy Chicken was a favourite. To wash it all down with, there was an array of single malts, white spirits, premium booze and soft drinks.
