The inaugural edition of the BGA Protouch Monthly Medal 1.1 took place on October 19 at FWEPTA (Fort William) and the Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC), showcasing a joint effort by the Bengal Golf Association (BGA) and the Protouch Golf Academy. The primary goal of this event is to nurture local talents in junior golf.
A total of four categories were present for the junior golfers to compete in
In the A & B Boys’ category, Shaurya V. Saraogi emerged as the victor with a score of 89, while Arrham Jain secured the runner-up position with a score of 93. Additionally, Arrham Jain proved to be the top performer among the B Boys, leaving Sartaj S. Chandok in second place with a score of 98. Category C Boys witnessed Krishiv Rungta as the champion, carding a commendable score of 91. Ved Somaiya was not far behind, securing the second position with a score of 93. In Category D, Akshansh Modi demonstrated his prowess by clinching the title with a score of 101. S. Vishwak Shenan secured the second position in Category D with a score of 109.
Allowing young talent to flourish and be spotted is one of the goals of the tournament
