Rudraksha Banerjee, Anaahat Bindra & Anshul Mishra among winners at Golftrade Amateur Open

Three days of intense golf culminated with a series of close contests at The Tollygunge Club

Rudraksha Banerjee won the Golftrade Amateur Open, the second leg of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour, held at Tollygunge Club between March 27 and 29. He shot four over par 144 over two rounds, securing victory. Saquib Hussain finished just one stroke behind in second place.

In the Mid-Amateur category, J.P. Singh won with a score of 175, and G. Suresh Sharma finished second with 178. In the ladies’ division, Anaahat Bindra shot 11 over par 151, clinching the title, while Mehak Lohan finished second with 158. Sudeep Chitlangia won in the senior category with a score of 157, and his brother, Jaydeep, came second with 161. B.V. Srihari Rao won the ‘Nett’ category with 162, while K. Indrajit came second with 167.

Anshul Mishra put on a stellar performance in the WAGR amateur event, clinching victory with a score of 214, closely followed by Ribhav Verma, who secured the second position with a score of 216. In the ladies’ WAGR event, Anahaat Bindra emerged victorious with a score of 228, while Priya Kumari secured the second position with a score of 237.

The final round of the WAGR event was played on March 29, spanning three rounds of golf. The tournament witnessed intense competition and remarkable displays of skill from participants across various categories, adding to the excitement and fervour of the event.
