In its perpetual pursuit of evolving the festive fashion game on trendy and innovative notes each year, Trends Saaj Parbon was back with a bang by enthusiastically engaging fashion enthusiasts to dress and look their festive best with five looks on each day of the Puja. Aptly named ‘Pujor Pach Diner Pach Saaj’, the Reliance Trends initiative with Anandabazar Patrika and The Telegraph featured the trendiest apparels.
The final day of the contest that took place at Avani Riverside mall saw the winners being presented awards, mementos, gift vouchers and cash prizes in the presence of Tollywood actors Madhumita Sorcar and Sean Banerjee, on Choturthi evening.
The state-level winner got Rs 1 lakh, and the first and second runner-up received Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.
From the 500 neighbourhoods in 22 districts winners were recognised who received Rs 20,000 each. There were special prizes for the most active para, each winning Rs 20,000.
Even individuals took part in the contest by sharing their five-day Durga Puja looks along with their name and location. The best looks won gift vouchers from Trends.

The Saaj Parbon campaign witnessed the participation of several puja committees across the state that included around 500 paras and 50 housing societies, of which 22 districts took part by sharing pictures of how they dressed up their best for the five days of Puja. Judges from the entertainment industry included Gaurav Chakrabarty, Tnusree C, Darshana Banik, Srijla Guha, Ushasi Ray, Devlina Kumar, Anindya Chatterjee, Sauraseni Maitra, Swastika Dutta, Sampurna Lahiri, Ishaa Saha, Priyanka Sarkar, Joyjit Banerjee and Bibriti Chatterjee. The actors, who made their gracious presence at several puja pandals on the onset of Mahalaya for the prelims of this fashion contest, interacted with fans and ushered in the joyous festivities together.

Tolly actors Madhumita Sarcar and Sean Banerjee were the special guests at the finale held at Avani Riverside Mall. “Trends do actually have a fantastic collection. It suits every body type and caters to the clothing needs of all ages alike. I personally felt really great to have been associated with Trends. The entire journey so far has been good,” said Madhumita, looking adorable in a traditional outfit. Sean felt really lucky to be a part of Trends Saaj Parbon this year. “I have been associated with Trends since last year. I think they are doing a wonderful initiative to unite the paras and to make them celebrate the festivities together. The themes that they come up with are equally significant and relevant at these times,” he said.
