Metro services disrupted
A technical glitch at Dakshineswar, the terminal Metro station in the north on the Blue Line, disrupted services on Wednesday afternoon. Trains did not run between Dakhsineswar and Baranagar, the penultimate station on the north, for around 20 minutes. “Due to some technical problems at Dakshineswar station, reported at 3.24pm, train movement was affected. No services could be run to and from Dakshineswar. Truncated services were run to and from Baranagar from 4.14pm,” said an official. “Signalling staff later rectified the problem and normal services resumed at 4.47pm to and from Dakshineswar,” he said.
