Anshul Mishra of Kolkata secured a remarkable victory in the sixth leg of the IGU East Zone Amateur Feeder Tour 2024 at the Protouch Masters 2024. The tournament was held at Tollygunge Club between May 22 and 23, and saw Mishra deliver an exceptional performance, shooting 10-under-par 130 (66 and 64) over the two rounds. This feat not only won him the Feeder title but also the WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) event with a total score of 201 over three rounds.
Samridh Sen finished second in the Feeder category with a commendable five-under-par 135 (72 and 63), while Suveer Kapoor secured the overall second position in the WAGR event with a score of 208. In the Mid-Amateur category, G. Suresh emerged victorious with a score of 168, followed by J.P. Singh, who finished with 172. The senior and super senior categories saw Ashit Luthra dominate, achieving a score of 157 over two rounds, with Dhananjay Bose finishing as runner-up with 167. Sumit Banerjee clinched the Nett prize with a score of 167, while Jayanta Banerjee was the runner-up, scoring 173. H.S. Bindra, vice-captain of Tollygunge Club, graced the prize distribution ceremony, encouraging participants and presenting the awards.
