On Saturday, Kolhan University’s controller of exams P.K. Pani paid a surprise visit to KMPM Vocational College in Bistupur where students of The Graduate School College for Women in Sakchi were writing their exams.

“We paid a visit because there were complaints for non-availability of admit cards although we had asked colleges to provide provisional admit cards to students who couldn’t download them from the website. Random visits to exam centres will give us an idea about the problem at the ground level. We will also be able to find out whether students are adopting unfair means,” Pani said.

There are around 20 centres for UG first semester exams in the Kolhan region.

“We will visit as many examination centres as possible in the next week. The visits will be primarily related to the admit card issue. If we come across any problem, we will solve it on the spot and also take steps to avoid such glitches in the future,” Pani added.

Flying squads have also been set up to keep a vigil on the centres.
