The coal town is gearing up to ring out 2019 and ring in 2020 with dollops of glamour and music at Dhanbad Club and Union Club, both on Luby Circular Road. These apart, private events of two corporate houses, the BCCL and the CMPDIL, will be held at Hotel Sonotel.

Dhanbad Club

Bollywood playback singer Aastha Gill, famed for her recent chartbusters such as Kamariya and Proper Patola is likely to be the main performer at the event, which is likely to begin at 9.15pm on Tuesday night and will continue till around 1am on January 1. Talking to The Telegraph, secretary of Dhanbad Club Sanjeev Beotra said Aastha’s performance was likely to be of 90 minutes and her musicians would accompany her.

“We will have an action-packed schedule to entertain our patrons,” smiled Beotra, adding DC Amit Kumar, who is the honorary president of Dhanbad Club would attend as chief guest.

Set up during the British era in 1917, Dhanbad Club is the oldest club of district.

Union Club

At Union Club, the cynosure of all eyes on Tuesday will be Bollywood starlet and model Leela Jumani who will perform to chartbusters.

This apart, club vice-president Dr D.K. Singh said the other attractions would be DJ Rio and anchor Puja Singh. Here, Dhanbad SSP Kishor Kaushal, who is the honorary president of the club, will be the chief guest.

The Union Club was set up in 1942.
