The Men of Steel have added a four-legged furry trainer to their camp in Don Bosco School ground in Panjim, Goa to help them practise and add positivity and happiness harder than ever.

While Jamshedpur FC players have a special corner heart for the paw-some addition to the squad, head coach Owen Coyle cannot help but give a goofy smile everytime she comes wagging her tail and the whole of staff and fans officially call her the lucky charm of the club. The canine is fondly called Sandy.

"She (Sandy) comes to see us play every morning and everybody in the club loves her with a big smile on her face. I am not sure if she is living the best life because her skin wasn’t great and she seemed undernourished when she met us the first time. But by wagging her tail and a big smile on her face, she honestly lights up our morning and brings a smile to our faces. The staff has been brilliant with her as they gave her a bath, antitoxins to make her feel better, she’s been well fed and now her coat is shining and she looks so much better," said Owen.

"Sandy actually sits on the perimeter wall, waiting for our bus to arrive and it is so heartwarming to see that. As we approach the end of the season, hopefully we’ll find a nice home for her to live in," he continued.

According to the head coach, everybody in the club thinks the world of her and she even joins them in the warm up. "Then she knows it’s time for the lads to start with their practice, so she maintains a little distance but she’s so well behaved and we absolutely love having her. She was there with us in the morning on Thursday and wanted a picture with the shield, so it is lovely to see her every morning for sure," Owen said.

A Jamshedpur FC team management said everybody, including the foreign players, lovesSandy and want her with them on the ground. "And Sandy makes sure she is present. She's very cute and has developed a liking for the entire squad," he added.

The spirited Jamshedpur, who have already pocketed the League Shield after topping the table with 43 points, clash with Kerala Blasters FC in the first leg semi-final Friday night.
