Incab Industries’ hearing in New Delhi-based National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has hit the coronavirus wall.
The next NCLAT hearing on a petition filed by employees challenging National Company Law Tribunal’s (NCLT) liquidation order passed by the Calcutta bench is scheduled on March 24.
But a notice issued by NCLAT on Saturday stated that all company appeals, contempt petitions and review applications that were supposed to be listed between March 17 and March 31 would now be taken up after April 17.
Akash Sharma, the advocate fighting the case on behalf of the employees, said: “All appeals at NCLAT have been adjourned. This will also affect the case of closed Tayo Rolls, a Tata Steel subsidiary. The Calcutta-bench of NCLT was supposed to take up Tayo’s case on March 16 . But, a notice issued by NCLT said that all hearing between March 16 and 27 stands adjourned.”
