Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday virtually inaugurated the state-of-the-art Prime Scan Ecosystem machine at Dantta Hospital in Bokaro.
The chief minister termed it as a matter of pride for the state to have a modern machine installed in the field of dentistry for the first time in Jharkhand.
Hemant Soren stressed on government in improving health infrastructure in other sectors too. “We are focussed on improving health infrastructure and motivating private players to come forward and help government amid the pandemic. People of the state will not have to go to big hospitals in big cities for dental diseases as the same facility will be available here and all diseases related to teeth can be treated properly,” Hemant said while congratulating the Bokaro hospital for installing the machine.
Dr Abhay Sinha of the Dantta Hospital said that this would be the first such machine to be installed in any dental hospital of either Jharkhand or Bihar.
“The Prime-scan ecosystem of machines ensuring single visit dentistry with Cerec technology is the only such machine in either Bihar or Jharkhand. Through the machine in just a single visit, patients can have their finished crown, and treatment, too, with an integrated workflow like patient oral cavity is scanned in few minutes, milled prosthetic like a crown, bridges, surgical template, clear aligners (sure smile) and much more can be done in few minutes and finally, all crystallise in few minutes,” said Dr Sinha.
The hospital officials claimed that through this revolutionary technology patients can fix dental problems like root canal or teeth damage, in just one sitting.
Talking about Cerec technology, Dr Sinha said: “It works in a continuous workflow with digital scanning (thus avoiding messy alginate physical impressions) followed by artificial intelligence and doctor’s inputs on design. Followed by milling of the crown in the preferred choice of material by the patients and finally, the finished glazed crown is delivered to the patient - All this in less than an hour.”
