Dhanbad and Bokaro district administrations have stepped up measures to prevent the spread of Covid cases in their respective districts in view of the rise in cases of Covid.

Mask Checking drive, sanitization drive as well as intensive sanitization drive have been accelerated in both the districts.

An intensive mask checking was conducted in this regard in Dharmashala More of Chas in Bokaro under the leadership Anil Kumar Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner of Chas during which he caught over 50 maskless persons and realized penalties from them.

Talking to media, Singh said, “We have launched the drive since yesterday during the first day we left the rule violators with strict warning but we went strict since today and realized fines from the rule violators. We appeal to common people to abide by the guidelines of the state government with regard to covid control and as the spread rate of Covid is much faster this time and only people’s awareness is key to check the spread of Covid rate."

Meanwhile, Bokaro district public relation Rahul Bharti on Saturday also carried out inspection of district level control rooms and took stock of the counseling and treatment advise given to the home isolated patients of the district through audio visual medium by deputed doctors of the control room.

He suggested them to talk to at least 100 home patients everyday and himself talked to one of the patients using the audio visual mode and wished him speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, Bokaro Deputy Commissioner, Kuldip Chaudhary also held a meeting with the officials and took stock of Corona relief kits being distributed among home isolated patients of all nine blocks of the district including Chas, Chadankiyari, Jaridih, Kasmar, Petarwar, Bermo, Nawadih, Chadrapura and Gomia.

Notably Bokaro at present has altogether 1076 active cases of Covid.

Meanwhile similar steps have also been accelerated by Dhanbad district administration regarding mask checking drive and monitoring of the market places to ensure the closure of markets after 8 pm and observance of mask wearing norms in the district as the Covid cases have continued to rise in district and several staff of District Collectotorate as well as Divisional Railway Manager’s office of Dhanbad have also been detected Covid positive.

In Jharia a mask checking drive was also conducted by the Chasnala Community Health Centre team led by Awadhesh Kumar during which covid sampling of maskless persons were collected.

The active Covid cases in Dhanbad at present is around 850.
