More than 100 BJP activists of the district led by Dhanbad MLA, Raj Sinha on Sunday took out a symbolic funeral procession of chief minister Hemant Soren as part of their state wide agitation against the rampant corruption and deteriorating law and order situation across the state.

Sinha, accompanied by Chandrashekhar Singh district president (Urban) of BJP who started the procession from Randhir Verma Chowk near the district headquarters later reached at City Centre around 500 meters and performed the last rites of effigy of the chief minister.

The BJP workers were shouting slogans like "Hemant Soren murdabad," "Hemant Soren gaddi chhoro",

Talking to media at the sidelines of programme, Sinha said “Hemant Soren came into power by promising 4 lakh jobs to the youth, stipends to the graduate and post graduate youth of the state and also carrying out series of development works but he failed to fulfill any of the promise”

“Contrarily, the state is passing through the worst phase of governance where the youths are compelled to migrate to different places across the country and also in foreign countries like, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Qatar due to lack of job opportunities and facing untold harassment there,” added Sinha.

“Instead of carrying out development both the political dispensation as well the bureaucratic set up of the state is lying knee deep in corruption and all kinds of loot of resource of the state like Coal, Sand and stones are going on under the patronage of the administration,” further said Sinha and added that the recovery of around Rs 20 crore cash from the chartered accountant of the mines secretary during the enforcement directorate raid proves the corruption prevalent in the state.

“The state government has no moral right to remain in power as it has lost the confidence of the people reeling under the complete state of anarchy and lawlessness,” claimed Sinha.
