Trail Blazer

At 63, Sharon Stone showed that age is just a number and class is permanent as she mesmerised everyone at the French Riviera on Wednesday. The veteran actor looked dreamy in a tulle light blue Dolce & Gabbana gown with applique flowers all over it and a fascinating train, giving proper Disney Princess vibes.

Keeping up with the princess-y and royal look was Amy Jackson. The British actress who has acted in films like Singh is Bliing and Ekk Deewana Tha was a belle in a maroon ballroom gown with a long trail. Chunky Chopard necklace, sleek hairdo, maroon lips complemented her regal look.

Colour pop

Cannes Film Festival 2021 that was held between July 6-17 after a gap last year due to the pandemic, brought back the glam quotient as stars and models strutted down the red carpet. Although we missed avant-garde looks, people like (l-r) Tina Kunakey, Fancy Alexandersson and veteran actor Tilda Swinton added a burst of colours and drama through their attires.

Pastel Power

Hana Cross oozed glamour in a beige body-hugging gown with feather detailing. We heart the falling-off-the-shoulder strap that added a touch of dainty to the entire glitzy look.

Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal went the less-is-more way, looking classy and elegant in an off-white silk dress from Celine by Hedi Slimane. Minimal accessories and nude make-up created a demure look.

Azmeri Haque Badhon created history by being the ‘first actress from Bangladesh who walked the red carpet at Cannes’. For one of the appearances, the actor turned heads in a stunning jamdani sari with a super stylish blouse. “I had this huge responsibility... I was representing my country, and I felt that I was walking with my country. So this jamdani sari from Aarong came to my mind first when I was thinking about what to wear on the red carpet. They came up with a really interesting idea for the blouse, which really impressed me,” she told t2. Kudos to her for sticking to her roots and rocking the sari so effortlessly.

Metallic Mush

A metallic silver Tom Ford suit, paired with Celine sunglasses was actor Timothée Chalamet’s OOTD that caught our eyes! For a day look, the outfit is definitely loud, but then Timothee can pull off anything with his uber cool aura.

Chanel ambassador Marion Cotillard dazzled in a metallic silver one-shoulder number that had a skirt that resembled fish scales. Sleek hair and nude make-up rounded off her look.

Black beauty

If someone brought a hint of drama which the Cannes Film Festival red carpet is known for, it’s Bella Hadid. The supermodel turned heads as she sent the paps into a frenzy wearing a low-cut Schiaparelli gown with a statement gold tree neckpiece that also resembled a pair of lungs. Sleek hairdo, sharp brows completed her dramatic look.

Diane Kruger glimmered in a black Armani Privé cut-out halter gown. Although she looked nice overall, we wish she hadn’t played so safe.
