Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan showered actor Aadar Jain and his girlfriend Alekha Advani with blessings during their roka ceremony in Mumbai on November 23. Here’s a look at some moments from the event.
Looking gorgeous in a blue-and-golden embroidered sari, Kareena was all smiles as she performed the pre-wedding rituals. Aadar, who is the grandson of the late actor Raj Kapoor, is Kareena, Karisma and Ranbir’s cousin.
Ranbir attended the ceremony in a black suit. A candid photo shows Ranbir holding an aarti thali as he places a tilak on Alekha’s forehead.
Karisma, who returned to acting with Homi Adajania’s Netflix thriller Murder Mubarak after a 12-year break, also showered blessings on the couple. The actress looked gorgeous in a blue Anarkali featuring intricate golden zari work. While Aadar wore a satiny white kurta and matching trousers, Alekha stunned in a white pearl-studded lehenga.
The ceremony was also attended by Aadar’s elder brother Armaan Jain and his wife Anissa Malhotra Jain. Aadar is known for films like Hello Charlie (2021) and Qaidi Band (2017). Alekha, on the other hand, is an Indian entrepreneur, a model and founder of a Mumbai-based wellness community.
Saif Ali Khan and Navya Naveli Nanda posed for a selfie with Karisma, Aadar and Alekha during the ceremony. While Saif looked dapper in a navy-blue kurta, Navya rocked a beige-and-golden suit.
Aadar’s mother, Reema Kapoor, blessed Alekha during the ceremony.
Aadar and Alekha shared a candid moment during the ceremony. Earlier this year, Aadar shared pictures of his engagement with Alekha. The photos show Aadar getting down on one knee and proposing to Alekha by the seaside in the Maldives. The actor was previously rumoured to be in a relationship with Alekha’s close friend, Tara Sutaria, who made her Bollywood debut with Dharma Productions’ Student of the Year 2 in 2019.
