SVF Entertainment, which completes 25 years in the Bengali entertainment space, has announced the release dates of a bouquet of new, star-studded films on diverse themes. While Golondaaj, a historical drama starring Dev, is scheduled to release on August 13, Srijit Mukherji’s Kakababur Protyaborton, a wildlife adventure story of Kakababu and Shantu with Prosenjit Chatterjee and Aryann Bhowmick in the lead, is slated to release on October 8. Golondaaj is inspired by life events of Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikary, the open-minded, prolific athlete who is known as the father of Indian football. Dev plays Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikary in the historical fiction, directed by Dhrubo Banerjee.

Meanwhile, Tangra Blues, starring Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Madhumita, is set to release on April 15. Tangra Blues is a musical drama that will highlight the musical culture of Calcutta slums.

Birsa Dasgupta’s Psycho, with Anirban Bhattacharya in the lead role, is a gripping edge-of-the-seat revenge thriller with twists and turns. It releases on May 21.

Also, Sandip Ray’s Shanku Aar Feluda, which will bring together Satyajit Ray’s two most iconic creations — Feluda and Shanku — in the same film, is scheduled to release on December 24.

Mahendra Soni, co-founder and director of SVF, said, “A journey that started in 1995 with film distribution is now working for the entire Bengali entertainment landscape. We have been fortunate enough to build, achieve and deliver the best since the last 25 years. With that achievement, has come great responsibility — the responsibility to give our viewers more of what they love. SVF wishes to keep on creating entertainment and offering prime content in many coming years! I hope the 2021 line-up of films will cater to the movie-watching needs of everyone out there.”
