Shah Rukh Khan reportedly sustains injury while shooting in US, undergoes surgery

The 57-year-old actor will be next seen in Atlee Kumar’s Jawan alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan reportedly sustained a minor injury on the sets of one of his upcoming projects in Los Angeles and had to undergo surgery at a US hospital.

The 57-year-old actor was reportedly rushed to the hospital with a bleeding nose immediately after the accident. The Pathaan actor is currently back home and recuperating in his plush Bandra bungalow.

However, there has been no official confirmation from Shah Rukh or his team regarding the recent accident and subsequent surgery.

After the news broke, Shah Rukh’s fans wished the star for an early and full recovery on social media. “Get Well Soon Sir ji,” a fan tweeted, while another tweet reads, “Wish you a speedy recovery #ShahRukhKhan𓀠”.

Shah Rukh’s last release was the Siddharth Anand directorial Pathaan, which went on to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year with a collection of Rs 1050 crore gross worldwide. It minted Rs 650 crore gross at the domestic box office alone, sweetening the star’s comeback after a four-year hiatus.

Shah Rukh will be seen next in Atlee Kumar’s action drama Jawan alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. The movie is slated to hit theatres on September 7. The actor will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu.
