Shah Rukh Khan on Friday praised the peppy track Sunoh from The Archies, the upcoming Netflix film of Zoya Akhtar in which the Bollywood star’s daughter, Suhana Khan, is set to make her debut.
Sharing the song on X, Shah Rukh described the lively number, which features the movie’s lead cast including Suhana, Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor, as “quaint and beautiful”. “This is so quaint and beautiful the world of The Archies. Also my motivation line for today is ‘Trading my shoes in for wheels under my feet’!” he wrote on the microblogging site.
The Archies is a retro-themed coming-of-age musical following the lives of a set of teenagers in the hill station of Riverdale. It is the Indian adaptation of The Archies comics series. The film marks the Bollywood debut of most of its lead actors, including Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s grandson Agastya and Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi.
Composed by Ankur Tewari and The Islanders, Sunoh is penned by Javed Akhtar and Dot. It has Bombay-based Tejas Menon’s vocals and Zohran Miranda’s guitar soundtrack. The song introduces the main characters of The Archies. It is now available on all streaming platforms and Sony Music’s YouTube channel.
The Archies will be released worldwide on Netflix on December 7.
