Shah Rukh Khan shared that his next film Dunki, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, will hit theatres around Christmas at the Friday press conference that was held to celebrate the box office triumph of Jawan.
“We started on January 26, Republic Day, with Pathaan; it's an auspicious day. On Janmashtami, on Lord Krishna's birthday, we released Jawan.
Now, as New Year and Christmas are around the corner, we will release Dunki,” said the Bollywood star, before cheekily adding, “Anyway, when my film is released, it becomes a celebration like Eid.”
The 57-year-old actor went on to say that he would continue to work hard to make people happy. “I’m working hard, harder than I have in the last 29 years. I will continue to work hard because my greatest happiness lies in making people happy after watching the film,” he affirmed.
Dunki marks the first collaboration of Shah Rukh with Rajkumar Hirani. Taapsee Pannu will be the lead actress of the upcoming film. Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and Dharmendra will also feature in the movie in pivotal roles.
