Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor recently visited Kolkata to promote their upcoming film Stree 2, a sequel to the hit 2018 horror-comedy Stree, slated to hit theatres on Thursday. Here’s a look.

Shraddha and Rajkummar gazed into each others’ eyes while posing for a picture by the door of a tram in Kolkata. “Ami tomay bhalobashi, Kolkata! Thank you for a wonderful experience,” production house Maddock Films captioned the photos on Instagram.

The upcoming sequel will revolve around Rajkummar and Shraddha’s characters facing off against a headless monster, Sirkata, who goes around kidnapping girls in Chanderi. It also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Abhishek Banerjee, Vijay Raaz and Aparshakti Khurana.

At the event, Shraddha and Rajkummar shook a leg to the Stree 2 song Jhuthi Khai Thi Kasam Jo Nibhai Nahin sung by Pawan Singh, Simran Choudhary and Divya Kumar. The film, helmed by Amar Kaushik, is slated to release on August 15, the same day Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein arrives in cinemas.
