Prabhas, Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Alia Bhatt are among the 10 most popular male and female film stars in India, according to a new report by Ormax Media.

Titled Ormax Stars India Loves, the report is divided into two parts — one for male actors and the other for female actors. Shah Rukh Khan, Jr NTR, Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone have also made it to the list.

Prabhas, who is set to headline Maruthi Dasari’s upcoming horror film The Raja Saab, has secured the top position on Ormax’s list of the most popular male film stars in India. The 45-year-old actor last starred in Nag Ashwin’s epic sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, which grossed Rs 653.21 crores nett at the Indian box office following its release on June 27.

Prabhas is followed by Vijay, who will next feature in Thalapathy 69, his last film before he ventures into politics. The movie, directed by Vinoth, will hit screens in October 2025. Vijay, who was recently seen in Venkat Prabhu’s GOAT, launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, in February and announced his plans to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly polls.

Shah Rukh Khan, Jr NTR, Ajith Kumar and Allu Arjun stand at the third, fourth, fifth and sixth positions, respectively. Mahesh Babu, who was last seen in Trivikram Srinivas’s Guntur Kaaram alongside Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Prakash Raj, has received the seventh spot on the list. The actor is next going to voice the character Mufasa in the prequel film Mufasa: The Lion King.

Suriya has secured the seventh position, followed by Ram Charan and Salman Khan. Salman Khan will be next seen in Sikandar, which is slated to hit theatres during Diwali next year.

Among female actors who have gained popularity in recent times, Samantha tops the list. The actress recently starred in the Indian chapter of Citadel, titled Citadel: Honey Bunny.

Samantha is followed by Alia, Nayanthara and Deepika. While Alia was last seen in Jigra alongside Vedang Raina, Nayanthara recently featured in a Netflix documentary based on her life. Trisha Krishnan, who starred in Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time, has received the fifth position, followed by Satyabhama actress Kajal Aggarwal.

Shraddha Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Rashmika Mandanna and Katrina Kaif stand at the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions, respectively. While Shraddha recently made waves with the immense box office success of Stree 2, Rashmika is currently awaiting the release of Pushpa 2.

Sai Pallavi will be next seen in Thandel alongside Naga Chaitanya and Katrina Kaif last starred in Merry Christmas opposite Vijay Sethupathi.
