The first trailer for Caddo Lake, an upcoming thriller produced by M. Night Shyamalan, has debuted on Max. Directed by Celine Held and Logan George, the film follows a series of mysterious disappearances.

The two-minute-11-second long trailer follows the story of an eight-year-old child who goes missing on the lake, triggering a chain of deaths and disappearances. As the narrative unfolds, the strange events appear to link back to a single fractured family. With Dylan O'Brien leading the cast, Caddo Lake also stars Eliza Scanlen, Diana Hopper and Caroline Falk in prominent roles.

Shyamalan, known for his work in psychological thrillers, produced the film alongside Ashwin Rajan under his Blinding Edge Pictures banner. Kara Durrett and K Period Media’s Josh Godfrey also serve as producers, with Kimberly Steward, Harrison Huffman, and Will Greenfield attached as executive producers.

“Can’t wait for you to see this,” Shyamalan wrote on X, sharing the trailer.

Held and George, the directorial duo behind the 2020 drama Topside, gained attention for their work on Shyamalan’s Apple TV+ series Servant. George has also made waves recently for his direction in episodes of Dark Matter, a hit Apple TV+ series adapted from Blake Crouch's bestselling novel.

Shyamalan’s latest directorial Trap, a psychological thriller, released in theatres earlier this year. The film stars Josh Hartnett as a serial killer trying to evade arrest while attending a concert with his daughter. Trap also stars Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Night Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Alison Pill.

Shyamalan’s daughter Ishana Night Shyamalan made her directorial debut earlier this year with The Watchers, a supernatural horror film based on the 2021 novel by A. M. Shine. The film starred Dakota Fanning, Georgina Campbell, Olwen Fouéré and Oliver Finnegan.

Caddo Lake is set to release on October 10.
