A video of actress Alia Bhatt crooning Devara track Chuttamalle at a recent promotional event has gone viral on social media.

In the video, Alia can be seen singing the Telugu track, leaving Jr NTR surprised by her talent.

“Oh my god,” says Jr NTR in the video after listening to Alia sing.

Originally sung by Shilpa Rao, Chuttamalle also features Janhvi Kapoor as Jr NTR’s romantic interest. Devara, co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, marks Janhvi’s Telugu cinema debut.

Karan, who is also credited as a producer on Alia’s upcoming film Jigra, recently interviewed the actress and Jr NTR during a session called “Devara ka Jigra”.

In the interview, Alia and Jr NTR discussed their experience of working together in the 2022 epic action drama RRR, directed by S.S. Rajamouli. “The way Taraka is, his stardom, I was naturally expecting to be severely intimidated,” said Alia, applauding Jr NTR’s unpredictability as an actor. Jr NTR, on the other hand, referred to Alia as one of the “finest actors” he knows.

Slated to hit theatres on September 27, Devara Part - 1 also features Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist Bhaira. The Koratala Siva directorial is co-produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts.

Jigra is the third project under Alia’s home banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions, following Netflix’s 2022 dark comedy Darlings and the Amazon Prime Video crime-drama series Poacher.

Jigra marks Alia’s first collaboration with director Vasan Bala, known for thrillers like Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (2018) and Monica, O My Darling (2022).

Also starring The Archies actor Vedang Raina, Jigra is slated to hit theatres on October 11.

Work-wise, Alia made her Paris Fashion Week debut on Monday as a global ambassador for French cosmetics giant L’Oréal Paris, turning heads in a metallic Gaurav Gupta corset.

Jr NTR, on the other hand, is in Los Angeles for a film festival where his actioner Devara will be screened.
