Mammootty is set to collaborate with actor-director Gautham Vasudev Menon for his upcoming project Dominic and The Ladies’ purse. The first look of the film was revealed on Saturday, coinciding with Mammootty's 73rd birthday.
“Presenting the First Look Poster of Dominic and The Ladies’ purse, Directed by @menongautham & Produced by @MKampanyOffl,” the veteran Malayalam actor wrote on social media while sharing the first look.
The poster features Mammootty in a bathrobe, standing in an unorganised room. A black ladies’ purse is seen lying on the floor, and the wall contains a board with photos and strips of paper pinned on it.
Billed as a comedy investigation thriller, Dominic and The Ladies’ purse will see Mammootty playing a detective. Joining him in key roles are Gokul Suresh, Lena, Siddique, Vijay Babu and Viji Venkatesh.
Dominic and The Ladies’ purse is written by Sooraj R and Neeraj R, the team behind ABCD (2013), which featured Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. Vishnu Dev handles cinematography, while Anthony takes on editing duties. The music is composed by Darbuka Siva.
Dominic and The Ladies’ purse is Mammootty’s sixth film under the banner of his production house Mammootty Kampany.
Mammootty’s next release Bazooka also features Gautham Vasudev Menon in a prominent acting role. He was last seen in Vysakh’s Turbo, where he plays a gangster.
