Bhediya actor Abhishek Banerjee, who is set to share screen space with Rana Daggubati in the upcoming Netflix series Rana Naidu, says that he was way out of his comfort zone while shooting for the crime thriller, set in south India.
"It is by far the most difficult character I have attempted. It was way out of my comfort zone,” said Abhishek, who shot to fame with his portrayal of Hathoda Tyagi in Prime Video’s Pataal Lok.
“Lately, I have been doing all the UP-ites and North Indian characters, which made people think I am from Kanpur or Allahabad. But I was looking for something that challenged me more. And I think, whenever you have to get to some kind of diction or like an accent which is not very familiar to you then you start thinking about it more. So, to do that was the most challenging part for me," he added.
Abhishek shared the poster of the Karan Anshuman-directed show on his Instagram recently. “The Naidu family doesn’t believe in talking it out, they believe in shooting it out,” he wrote.
"You will see how messed up my character is when you see the show. Thanks to Suparn (Verma) and Karan (Anshuman). I think they both have a very dark mind. So I think they went way beyond the original," he added.
