Mukul Roy still in BJP, said West Bengal assembly speaker Biman Bandopadhyay on Wednesday.

Incidentally, according to anandabazar.com, Bandopadhyay had given the same verdict last time too. Speaker's judgement means, Roy who joined TMC from BJP after winning the Assembly polls on a BJP ticket, would not be stripped of his MLA post.

The saffron party has been determined to ensure that Roy is punished under the anti-defection law. The Supreme Court had earlier ordered the Speaker to announce his decision on the appeal made by BJP.

Bandopadhyay earlier on the bais of the SC order had made the sam pronouncememt.
