Metro chalks out roster for festive days: Trains through the night on north-south line

Like the previous years, services will start in the afternoon from Saptami to Dashami

Metro Railway will run trains through the night for pandal-hoppers from Saptami to Navami on the north-south corridor (Blue Line), the carrier said while announcing its Puja schedule on Monday.

Like the previous years, services will start in the afternoon from Saptami to Dashami.

On the Green Line (East-West Metro), the services will be extended but not through the night. On the Orange Line (Kavi Subhas-Ruby crossing) and Purple Line (Joka-Majerhat), services will be off from Saptami to Ekadashi (October 10 to 13).

North-South

Chaturthi and Panchami

(October 7 and 8)

Metro will run 288 services on Chaturthi and Panchami. The first Dakshineswar-bound train will leave Kavi Subhas (New Garia) at 6.50am. The first Kavi Subhash-bound train will leave Dum Dum at 6.50am. The first Kavi Subhas-bound train will leave Dakshineswar at 7am.

The last Kavi Subhash-bound train will leave Dakshineswar at 10.28pm. The last Dakshineswar-bound train will leave Kavi Subhas at 10.30pm. The last Dum Dum-bound train from Kavi Subhas and the last Kavi Subhas-bound train from Dum Dum will leave at 10.40pm.

Sashthi (October 9)

Metro will run 288 services. The first Dakshineswar-bound train will leave Kavi Subhas (New Garia) at 6.50am. The first Kavi Subhash-bound train will leave Dum Dum at 6.50am. The first Kavi Subhas-bound train will leave Dakshineswar at 7am.

The last train for Kavi Subhas will leave Dakshineswar at 11.48pm. The last Dakshineswar-bound train will leave Kavi Subhas at 11.50pm.

The last Dum Dum-bound train from Kavi Subhas and the last Kavi Subhas-bound train from Dum Dum will leave at 12am.

Saptami, Ashtami and Navami

(October 10 and 11, since Ashtami and Navami are on the same day)

Metro will run 248 services, starting in the afternoon.

The first train for Dakshineswar will leave Kavi Subhas at 1pm.

The first Kavi Subhas-bound train will leave Dakshineswar at 1pm. The first Kavi Subhas-bound train will leave Dum Dum at 1pm. The first Dakshineswar-bound train will leave Kavi Subhas at 1pm.

The last Kavi Subhas-bound train will leave Dakshineswar 3.48pm. The last Dakshineswar-bound train will also leave Kavi Subhas at 3.48pm. The last Dum-bound train from Kavi Subhash and the last Kavi Subhas-bound train from Dum Dum will leave at 4am each.

Dashami (October 12)

Metro will run 174 services from afternoon to midnight.

The first train for Dakshineswar will leave Kavi Subhas at 1pm. The first train for Kavi Subhas will leave Dakshineswar and Dum Dum at 1pm each.

The last train will leave Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhas at 11.48pm. The last train for Dakshineswar will leave Kavi Subhas at 11.50pm.

The last trains for Dum Dum and Kavi Subhas will leave either station at 12am.

East West
(Between Salt Lake Sector V and Sealdah)

On Chaturthi, Panchami and Sashthi, Metro will run 106 services. The first train will leave Sealdah at 6.55pm and Sector V at 7.05am. The last train will leave Sealdah at 9.35pm and Sector V at 9.40pm.

On Saptami and Ashtami-Navami, there will be 64 services. The first train will leave Sealdah at 1pm and Sector V at 1.10pm. The last train will leave Sealdah at 11.20pm and Sector V at 11.30pm.

On Dashami, the carrier will run 48 services. The first train will leave Sealdah at 2pm and Sector V at 2.05pm. The last train will leave Sealdah at 9.40pm and Sector V at 9.45pm.

East West Second Phase

(Between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade)

On Chaturthi, Panchami and Sashthi, Metro will run 118 services. The first train will leave Esplanade at 7am and Howrah Maidan at 7.10am.

The last train will leave Esplanade at 9.44pm and Howrah Maidan at 9.54pm.

On Saptami and Ashtami Navami, there will be 118 services. The first trains will leave Howrah Maidan and Esplanade at 1.30pm, each.

The last will leave at 1.45am, each.

On Dashami, there will be 80 services. The first and last trains will leave the terminal stations at 2pm and 11.45pm, respectively.
