Senior Congress leader and former diplomat Shashi Tharoor shared his perspective on Trump’s return, predicting continuity in the Indo-U.S. partnership.

"Frankly, there should not be major surprises because the gentleman has been an open book for some time. He was president for four years, so we have the experience of dealing with him," Tharoor commented.

Tharoor noted that Trump’s 'tough stance on China' could be advantageous for India. However, he did caution that immigration policies might impact Indian nationals, adding, "The numbers (of legal immigrants) may come down and family reunion issues may arise for some of our nationals."
