Bayern Munich forward Thomas Mueller has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2023, the Bundesliga champions said on Tuesday. “Thomas is a special player for us, a figurehead for the club and our fans,” Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said.
Mercedes initiative
Formula One team Mercedes will start delivering breathing devices to Britain’s National Health Service this week to aid the fight against coronavirus. The Continuous Positive Airway Pressure devices, which help coronavirus patients with lung infections to breathe more easily have been cleared for use after patient trials across London. The British government has ordered 10,000 of the devices.

World Athletics on Tuesday suspended the qualification period for Tokyo Olympics until December 2020 in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic following consultation with its Athletes’ Commission, area presidents and council.

Kyrgios offer
Controversial tennis star Nick Kyrgios has offered to deliver food to people finding themselves hungry during the lockdown. “Please don’t go to sleep with an empty stomach,” Kyrgios posted on Instagram. “Don’t be afraid to send me a private message. I will be more than happy to share whatever I have.”
